Af security forces leads to better job?

I am currently in aerospace ground equipment maintenance in the Af. I dont find myself really liking the job. I want to eventually work for my state's SBI. Would becoming security forces help me do that? It seems like a job I would like to cross train in. Or do you think SF wouldn't help at all?
