Should I apologize to former friend?

6 months ago i screwed up a perfectly good friendship. A friendship that brought a smile to my face and a friendship that put me on the right road. I accepted that I screwed up and not my friend. I apologized to her so many times, but for some reason i just want to ask her for forgiveness and i want to rekindle that flame we had as BEST FRIENDS. Not romantically involved, Never. She was more like a sister to me. Is it self-fish of me to ask for another chance after i hurt her deeply?
