Why are they rushing this mive bailout?

They have to do somethimg quickly, If you haven't noticed banks are falling like dominos and soon the stock market will follow. I don't think they are telling how bad things really are for fear of public panic. The signs should tell you though. When is the last time you heard of our government working day and night and all weekends trying to fix something.....not even when 911 hit did they do this.
